Do I really own it?
Yes. Perpetual licence, every future update included, no paid upgrades.
How many computers can I use?
Your licence covers you on two computers, for example your desktop at the office and your laptop on site. Both stay activated, so you can switch between them any time without unregistering anything. It's one licence for one person, not two licences: please don't share it with a colleague. Getting a new PC? Move your licence to it in one click.
Can I share my licence?
One licence is for one person, on up to two computers. Please don't share it.
Does TrueScale work with Revu files?
Yes. Open PDFs marked up in Revu, edit the markups, and send them back. Imports your Revu tool sets (.btx): every tool comes in with its look, subject, label and measurement settings.
What happens to my files?
They stay on your computers or your own server. TrueScale never sends drawing contents or file names anywhere.
What data does TrueScale send?
Crash reports and anonymous usage counts, on by default so we know what to fix. Never drawing contents, file names, markups or project details. You can switch both off.
Is there a subscription?
No. Optional cloud services may come later as separate monthly packages.
Is the server really free?
Yes, free to self host, forever.
Can I try it first?
Yes, a full 14 day trial. The trial download opens with the first public release; join the waitlist and we will tell you.
When does the founding price end?
Midnight AEDT, 31 December 2026.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. Mac, iPad and smartphone versions are in the pipeline, and their seats are included free in your licence when they are released.
